Hi, my name is Kevin Dick and I'm the owner of 2020, and briefly I'd like to introduce you to who we are. I'm an optometrist with 20 years experience, having worked for independents and chain stores both here and in London.
It was in London that I gravitated to the groovy, high end of the market and returned to Brisbane 8 years ago with a new concept.

What is the 20/20 concept?
Over years of working for others, what struck me was either mediocre eyewear, outdated testing equipment in the back room, or both. 20/20 brings together the world's finest
and funkiest eyewear designers , coupled with state of
the art equipment to make the eye examination a very civilised affair.

20/20 philosophy & approach to work

We enjoy selling quality products, and most importantly, we enjoy finding the right frame for the right person. That's what we do and we do it well.

Points of difference
All eyewear looks the same from a distance. But when we're up close and personal ... that's when good design matters.

* There are no labels on our eyewear. There doesn't have to be. I believe clothing designers should stick to clothing, not perfume, let alone eyewear.

* We only carry directional eyewear. Our designers create the magic that inspires the rest of the market.

*We support our designers by stocking each range deeply. This gives you a feel for what each designer is capable of.
We don't carry 3 or 4 frames of countless labels and pretend to be stockists.

* We stick to what we are good at. We don't try to be all things to all people. That's what shopping centres are for.

*We charge an appropriate amount that reflects the goods
and services we provide. We don't discount and we don't bulk bill. You pay for what you get.

* We believe service should match the product it supports, and we believe service is the first casualty of discounting.

* We visit our eyewear designers at least once a year.
We do coffee, we talk, and we buy.
